Who am I?
The quest for myself

From January 16 to April 18, 2010

Who am I?

Set off on a playful journey of self-discovery in search of what makes you unique. Play a character on a theatre stage, and then go through the control room to learn about the role of self-esteem. Next…enter a giant brain, where you will find out the influence of genetics and your life experiences. At the end of your quest, you will receive your personality profile, which you can consult at home. An enigmatic exhibition, where you are the hero!

Rhythm
Art and science keep the beat

Rhythm

The Montréal Science Centre is proud to present the work of nearly 750 elementary students who took part in the Student Artists project.

For inspiration, the young artists visited the Science 26 exhibition at the Science Centre, where they learned about and played with scientific concepts associated with rhythm. They also toured the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal, and admired pieces in which rhythm is expressed through colours, lines and textures.

Then the students created a piece reflecting this marriage of science and art, using sculpture, mixed media and installation techniques.

Their creations, showcasing their rhythmic view of the world around them, are displayed in our corridors. Catch the beat!

This project is part of the Access to Cultural Resources facet of the Supporting Montréal Schools Program of the Ministère de l’Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport du Québec.
