SPIRALIFT UNDERSTAGE LIFT
Once upon a time...
...there was an inventor named Pierre. Pierre liked
to watch his Slinkycrawl down the stairs. Then one
day, in his tremendous imagination, the little spring
became a huge column with immense strength...
Just a story? Not at all! Turn the page and read on.
The column that came from nowhere
It seems so logical. Why not replace the empty space between
the coils of a spring with metal? That's how the Spiralift
understage lift column, a "technological" version of the
popular children's game, came to be. Today this retractable
column lifts some of the world's most prestigious
stages.
Unrolling... upward
The principle of the Spiralift understage lift is simplicity
itself. As the spring expands, a steel band is inserted
between the coils.
The column derives its strength from its I shape,
just like the beams that hold up our homes. It is amazingly
strong: the largest model can lift more than 11 tonnes
up to 12 metres!
Like a humungous SlinkyT
Today Spiralift understage lift columns hold up stages
in Asia, Europe and the Americas, including the Cirque
du Soleil stage in Las Vegas. They make every show
an uplifting experience! Pierre's Slinkystory does
have something magical about it after all.
Thanks!
